During Covid, the Campbell family — born in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Indonesia, and also having lived in Australia — discovered Lindelse Mill and Mill farm, and fell in love! The mill and mill farm are protected under Danish law. The house was a wreck - as one contractor said (he had been asked to give an opinion on the roof) - "if they gave me this house free, I would not take it".
But the family saw its hidden potential and the interesting challenges. Since purchasing the property, they have focused on restoring the mill house and garden (a private part of the property), while opening the mill itself to the public.
They are excited to see the revival of a local landmark and reconnect the community of Lindelse with its historic heart.
We have been told that early on they were referred to as the "crazy English that bought the mill."
