Our Story
Restoring & Preserving History
Lindelse Mill has a history dating back to the 1500s. The current mill, rebuilt in 1828 after a fire, is a Dutch-style windmill known also as the Phoenix Mill — a name earned, not chosen.
It stood quiet for decades after operations ceased in the 1960s, and was partially restored in the 1980s. Today it's being brought back to life again — this time by a community, not a single owner. Visitors can still explore the original millstones, wheels and shafts, and take in panoramic views from the second-floor gallery.
Every event held here, every membership, every donation is another small act of the same story the mill has always told: it comes back.
Who Keeps It Running
The People Behind the Mill
Lindelse Mølle is more than a historic windmill. It's a place brought back to life by the people who care for it. Together, the local community, dedicated volunteers, and the Campbell family are restoring the mill, preserving its history, and creating a welcoming space for people to gather, connect, and make new memories.

Inspired by the endless blackberry bushes that had taken over the grounds around Lindelse Mølle, this tee is a little tribute to where it all began.
Before the gatherings, the creativity, and the community, there was a whole lot of clearing to do. Those stubborn blackberry bushes were part of the mill's story — wild, tangled, and not going anywhere without a fight.
Featuring a hand-painted blackberry illustration on the back, this tee celebrates the messy beginnings, the hard work, and the beauty of bringing an old place back to life.
